| Romance by Nick Roberson Romance, it really is what makes life worth living. Since the beginning of time we have tried to master the art of romance. Not only to turn the heads of those we are pursuing, but to keep the interest of those we are with. It is the latter that we are often guilty of forgetting. It is far to easy to get lost in our busy day to day lives, and take for granted those things that are most important to us. In my opinion there can never be too much romance in a relationship. It is with this in mind that I write this article in hopes it may inspire you to enhance your own romantic world. Just remember when it comes to romance it is not always about how much money you spend, or how extravagant the methods. It is however all in the attention to details. Half the battle is just showing the person you care about that you took time to do something special for them. It is always about the other person, and how much you care about that person. So once again, it is all in the attention to details.
A Simple Note It can be something as simple as a note telling them how much you care about them, support them, love them, or any other message you wish to convey. The fun part is how creative you can actually be with the note. I have written notes on mirrors in the bathroom, with skittles on a kitchen counter, on giant signs outside, or little notes on a pillow. Frequently leave notes of love and support for your significant other. Sometimes leave them out in the open where they can find them, and sometimes hide them away in places where they may not be found for days. Sometimes the notes are long, and sometimes they are just a few words. If you know they are going to have a particularly challenging day, then leave them a note telling them how wonderful and amazing they are, and of course that you love them.
Luminaries This is one of my favorite romance tools. I plan a special evening, and I line the driveway and sidewalk leading up to the house, or to the rear patio, in Luminaries. For those of you that aren't familiar with these, let me explain. You simply buy a pack of brown paper lunch bags, a bag of tea candles, and a bag of cat litter or sand (used to weigh down the bags). Then you open the bag and fold down the top edge a couple times, pour some sand or cat litter into the bottom to weigh it down, and then put the candle in the middle. Space the bags out along the drive and walkway (only use these outdoors by the way). Then about 15 minutes before the arrival of your guest, light all of the candles. It sets an amazing mood that will not soon be forgotten. Frankly these never get old. I try to do this at least once or twice per year. This also works great around patios and pool areas.
Spa Night This is one they will love for sure. I prepare the bath with hot water, bubbles or salts, candles, and soft music. Here is where the attention to details comes in. Fold a towel to use as a pillow at one end of the tub, then fold two more to lay at the corner of the tub. Have slippers and a robe nearby as well. Then pour a nice glass of their favorite beverage and place on a tray with a glass of ice water near the tub. You can line a path through the house to the tub with rose petals or secret clues. Once they have been led to the tub area, leave them alone, but tell them to call you if they need help with their back. Then simply leave them to their spa. After all it's about them. While they are in the tub, you can be preparing a simple desert to share later. *For an extra special touch toss the two towels in the dryer for a few minutes before they are finished with the bath so warm towels will be waiting for them.
